At Discmania, we feel our relationship with dealers around the world are vital for the store itself, us as a company, and more importantly, the disc golf customers. With open communication and a dedication to the people involved, what starts as a order on our Dealer Store, can quickly turn into a relationship that lasts for years. One of those relationships that is quickly growing is with Brian Mason of Luna Park Disc Golf.
While Luna Park is a relative newcomer to the disc golf retail game, they have developed a solid name for themselves with their online store. Based in O'Fallon, Illinois, it was roughly three years ago, about the same time the DDx was released, that Luna Park Disc Golf was launched.
The name was inspired by the band Luna and was also the used in a previous business owned and operated by Brian, an internet café named Luna Park Gaming.
Mason, a husband and father of three, loves to get out and throw discs when he isn’t selling them. Disc golf has provided a recreational opportunity for not only himself, but his whole family. The family will go out and play doubles matches that consist of him and his wife, Shannon, versus their two oldest boys. Their youngest, who is not quite two-years-old, loves throwing minis around the house.
During the school year, he works at the local high school with special needs students.
He jokes, “the benefits package Luna Park offers is terrible, but my plan is to someday retire from the classroom and go full time with Luna Park.”
We are steadily growing and appreciate everyone who has sent us kind words, given us a shout out or recommended us to a friend. - Brian Mason, Luna Park Disc Golf
Mason has attended the Ledgestone Insurance Open for four years as a player, spectator, and vendor. Some of his highlights have been watching Simon Lizotte win in 2015 and personally finishing under par in 2018.
Looking to the future, Mason would like to attend the Beaver State Fling, Clash of the Canyons, and the Bowling Green Amateur Championships. Having a supportive family that owns an RV has opened the door for the family to make some of these big events happen. Make sure to keep an eye out on the road for the Luna Park family in 2019!
Some of the success of Luna Park can be attributed to his great customer service, quality website store and cool custom discs. Mason’s talented friend, Josh Rowan, created the “Lander Stamp”, which has been a popular item on the store this year.
We've loved getting to know Mason and his family over the last few years. He's been a loyal supporter of Discmania and comes back time and again to ensure his customers have the best choices for Discmania discs. If you've been looking for something that you can't find in our store, give Luna Park Disc Golf a shot and see what he has in stock. Don't forget to tell them Discmania sent you!
