Oh, Canada!
Built on over 20 years of tournament experience, including 3 record breaking Canadian National Championships, we couldn’t think of a better Tournament Director team to partner with. Leader Benjamin Smith and his team have an undying passion for our sport and creating more than just a tournament.
The backdrop of Atlantic Canada provides an experience like no other. From sandy beaches and amazing seafood, to a culture of kindness and passion for the sport, we feel this area is a destination for spectators and players like no other.
Spectator tickets are on sale now! We highly encourage anyone able to attend to do so.
Reinvent the Game
Discmania Open is much more than a tournament for us. This is our chance to reinvent. The Discmania Open team is pushing the boundaries of tournament experience across the board.
Filling 4 courses with several divisions from pro to junior is no small task. Each division course layout and the schedule of each player has been taken into consideration to provide the best tournament experience. Beautiful scenery, expert staff, champion level course design, and meaningful professional partnerships make Discmania Open a complete package.
The tournament will also feature a drop-in round for women only early in the tournament week. Providing a space for women to gather around great scenery, a great sport, and even some delicious BBQ is a huge priority for the entire Discmania Open staff.
Elite Course Design
Discmania Open features four champion level courses in order to host not only pro level, but age protected and amateur divisions as well. Each provides a unique set of challenges while holding an overarching theme.
Rose Valley DiscGolfPark lies in the middle of Prince Edward Island, and most closely resembles DGPT style courses. Rolling hills, huge power shots, mixed with winding mature forest fairways make power and precision essential to score.
Huck It has hosted Canadian Nationals since 2018. More rolling hill shots await players along with Southwest Brook, which provides beautiful scenery as well as treacherous hazards.
Kings Pine is a testament to the creativity and perseverance required to achieve greatness. After a hurricane ravaged the course, Ben and his team rebuilt the course better than ever. Built to preserve the delicate ecosystem surrounding it, we are excited to show the world how elite course design and environmentalism can thrive together.
Glenaladale will host Junior and Masters divisions. Holding the theme of great woods shots and challenging power shots, this course is described by Ben as their “throw-back style.”
