“It feels like Discmania is a place I can be myself and that's paramount.”
Those are the words of Team Discmania’s Eagle McMahon who just signed a new three-year contract with Discmania.
“I couldn’t be happier to be continuing my relationship with Discmania,” McMahon says. “I’ve been with them for six years. They were my first ever main sponsor. The fact I’ll be with them for another three is great.”
McMahon believes that this is a true win-win situation for both himself and Discmania. He says as the company has grown he has always seen eye to eye with everyone involved.
Discmania CEO Jussi Meresmaa is equally as happy to continue this relationship, “Eagle is a very important part of Discmania. He’s been able to grow with us. Knowing we have one of the top-three players in the sport with us for the next three years is very exciting.”
While McMahon’s tournament season came to a close a few weeks ago and his focused turned to the off-season, he’s glad to get the contract signed, “Negotiating contracts, while exciting since you see opportunities, is stressful and can take away from day to day life,” McMahon says. “Now that we have come to an agreement, I’m excited I can start training and focus on the years to come.”
McMahon has been back in Boulder, Colorado for a few weeks after spending some time in Alabama. He’s since been training everyday on a new training program designed to take him through the off-season right until his season starts in Las Vegas.
While the tournament season has slowed for McMahon, his mindset is still on the competition, “I’m working as hard as I can to get an edge in the off-season. This is when you can get ahead.”
McMahon has been a key part to the Discmania family in the last six years, but we’re just getting started.
