October is a strange month in the disc golf world. Courses are really taking on some amazing color as the leaves change, but the major tournament season starts to wind down. The change of colors are nice, but also is a sign that colder weather is coming.

The OS in CHAOS means #overstable 💣 Too much disc for me, so I made a jack-o-lantern of it instead. This ought to send the trick-or-treatsters packing come Halloween. 🎃🎃🎃 Like the disc? Watch this account for a giveaway ☝️ ----- Along with the PD Freak, this was one of my favorite graphic stamps back in the day when Discmania was still making them. If I could get them in rainbow foil, so much for the better. I bagged a yellow P-line PD2 with one for the longest of times. Such a great disc. The glow PD2s I roll with today are just that much better. ----- The PD2 Chaos was the last horror themed one. The FD Jackal was "only" an animal (kinda like TD Rush), and the TD2 Fever was only text, yet graphic (kinda like P2 Psycho). The P3 in 2013 was the first new mold to drop the graphics completely. Since then there have been only minimalist text designs with little tweaks here and there, while large graphics being reserved only for special releases, like signature series. I kinda dig the minimalist style. Its what gets the job done. Its like driving around in the nondescript day-to-day sedan that stays on the road and gets you where you're going. But every once in a while its good to get that pimped to eleven roadster out of the garage for a spin, burn some rubber for the hell of it. 🏎️⏱️ ----- Now you can throw back to the graphic designs with Discmania's October Ghouls campaign. The Door County Fall Classic is over. I started my round with a triple bogey 6 lol, but fought all day long. Despite a slow Even Par through my first 10 holes, I pulled it together and birdied 6 of my last 8 holes to jump up a spot and take solo 3rd, missing the playoff for 1st by only a single stroke. This was the closest I’ve ever come to a win and for that I have no other choice but to be proud of my efforts. Round 1 I shot a 922 and a career-high 957 Round 2 - averaging 31.5 points above my current rating! I’ve learned so much about my game and about myself this year. I’m glad my competitive season ended the way it did and I’m really excited for things to come. Thank you to Mike Harrington at DGX for letting me rep his brand and to EVERYONE who has supported me/encouraged me this year.
