Discmania proudly presents the very first PDGA Disc Golf World Championships hosted outside the United States! Discmania will be the main and official presenting sponsor of the 2025 Disc Golf World Championships.
Taking place in our founding nation and city of Tampere, Finland - we can’t think of a more fitting location to host the largest disc golf event in the world. To kick things off, we already dropped special releases to celebrate the occasion including a brand new Prototype Color Glow P4!
CHAMPIONSHIP LEGACY
The hosting of Disc Golf World Championships in Tampere and Nokia, Finland is a culmination of years of hard work by Discmania staff and local volunteers at Discmania’s European Open.
Discmania’s European Open carries 19 years of legacy, bringing the most talented disc golfers in the world from countries far and wide to Nokia and Tampere Finland. All battling for the chance to be crowned a European Open Champion in front of thousands of disc golf fans.

PROVING GROUNDS
Discmania will host the 2025 Disc Golf World Championships at Tampere Disc Golf Center’s Monster course and the storied Beast course at Nokia DiscGolfPark.
The Monster at Tampere Disc Golf Center has been crafted and manicured by Jussi Meresmaa and the DiscGolfPark team for years to create the ultimate shot shaping challenge. Making its PDGA Major debut as a stop for the 2024 European Open, players found the teeth of The Monster a worthy adversary. In 2024 Team Discmania’s Gannon Buhr scored the best round ever at The Monster, shooting 9 strokes under par - a testament to the championship level design that 10 under par has never been reached.
The Beast at Nokia DiscGolfPark has hosted players for the European Open since 2006. Featuring a giant Pro Shop inside Nokia Arena (home of Tampereen Ilves hockey team), excellent spectator viewing areas, and several unique signature holes - The Beast proves to be a pleasure for in-person spectating and a test of elite disc golf skill.
Through Discmania’s many years experience hosting PDGA Major events at both The Monster and The Beast, the ultimate stage is set for crowning the 2025 World Champion.
TEAM DISCMANIA READY TO CONQUER WORLDS
Team Discmania Sky Team members anxiously await their chance to claim the 2025 World Championship title in Finland!
Niklas Anttila returns to his home country for this World Championships, garnering the support of his local community and fans. A dangerous combination for his competitors, as Niklas holds 3 Finnish National Champion titles and a European Disc Golf Champion title. Not only that, but Niklas has already claimed an early 2025 Disc Golf Pro Tour victory at The Open at Austin!
Gannon Buhr continues his hunt for a Disc Golf World Championship title as a shining crown to his already widely held position as the best disc golfer currently on tour. Gannon also has a track record of success at The Beast and The Monster, being the courses he played to earn his 2024 European Open Champion trophy!
Kyle Klein brings his big tournament experience to Finland this year as well! Being a PDGA Major champion, Kyle has the skill and experience needed to take down an event on the biggest stages. Kyle's game shines in wooded courses, which our 2025 World Champion will certainly need to pass through the teeth of The Monster.
On Team Discmania’s FPO side, newly inaugurated Sky Team member, Ella Hansen, also looks to make her mark in the history books. Ella consistently appears on lead cards, top 5 finishes, and on top the podium twice now on the Disc Golf Pro Tour. Boasting big distance and accurate shot shaping, her skills match up very well with the length of The Beast and the technicality of The Monster.
