What a weekend it was! I’m proud to say that I am the 2019 United States Junior Disc Golf Champion. It’s been three days since I won and I really can’t describe how it feels, I’m just really glad that I finally capitalized and won a major tournament. I played 3 solid rounds throughout the tournament and ended up winning by 6 strokes and averaged 990 rated golf. Obviously just like any tournament, there’s certainly mistakes that I made and things that I need to get better at. I am really proud of myself for keep a positive mental attitude after a bad start in the final round that took my lead down to 1, I fought through it and ended up building my lead up to 6 again. My mental game has come a long way and it continues to get better with each tournament that I play. I would like to thank Kids Disc Golf and the Grayum brothers for putting on such an amazing tournament at an awesome venue. The courses were beautiful and I definitely look forward to coming back. Next I would like to thank my Dad for being my caddy for the week and helping to keep me in good mood and telling me to play smart. Finally I would like to thank my Sponsor Discmania for believing in me and especially Avery Jenkins for sending me encouraging messages throughout the week!
