We are pleased to announce our support for the European Open 2015. July 15th-19th will mark the 6th time the "Original European Major" will appear in the PDGA tour schedule. This will also be the 3rd time the event will be held at the beautiful Nokia DiscGolfPark course. The event will without a doubt be one the biggest disc golf events of the season 2015. EO2015 will feature 144 top players competing for the championship titles in men’s and women’s open divisions over the course of four days.
We’re also really looking forward to the race for the European Open spots in the four regional qualifying tournaments. A new qualifying method in its extend for the European Open, the top 5 men and winner of the ladies division from each Qualifying event will receive a spot to the European Open. That’s a total of 24 spots available for players who perform well in qualifying tournaments.
Since the first European Open, held at Tampere in 2006, Discmania has been deeply involved with the European Open. The Discmania CEO Jussi Meresmaa is pulling the strings as the head of the tournament organization with a big bunch of Discmania staff members taking care of vital tournament staff roles. We’re proud to continue the tradition of the European Open, an event that has grown to highlight Disc Golf on its highest level, from a full field of top international Pro players to professional level event organization.
